When we first turned up at this pub and walked in, i must admit that we nearly turned around and walked back out. The decor is very dated and confused and the initial first impressions are not inviting but as soon as we walked up the stairs to the restaurant and chatted with the Chef, our minds were changed.
The Chef was extreamley accomadating and it was obvious that he had a wealth of experience. We ordered a steak, which was cooked and seasoned to perfection and served with home made chunky chips (my mouth is watering just remembering it!) and chicken stuffed with goats cheese and spinach, served with fresh vegatables and potatoes, again cooked to perfection! We decided to share a 'tasting' plate desert, which was a trio of fresh home made deserts Delicious! I would highly recommend eating here, dont be put off with the decor the Chef is a gem!
